Former Alexandria star TJ Heath is getting more preseason love. The Sports Network has the JSU cornerback on the Preseason All-American 3rd team. Heath led the OVC in passes defended and picked off 6 passes with two touchdowns last season. The rising senior is making strides to return to the field after a bad car wreck 3 weeks ago. Heath will go in for final tests with doctors before opening fall camp on August 6th.
Joining TJ on the All-American Team is former Alexandria teammate Chris Evans. Evans is a star running back at Samford who already owns the Bulldogs career rushing record. This season, Evans will look to become the 1st back in school history to rush for over 1-thousand yards in all 4 years.
