Dr. Lance Grissett

(07-26-10)   A beloved member of one East Alabama Community is laid to rest today.

Former Talladega County School Superintendent and City Councilman, Dr. Lance Grissett passed away over the weekend.  His loved ones said their farewells at the service which was held at First Baptist Church of Talladega.  Grissett was a veteran of the U.S. Naval Reserve; he also worked for more than 43 years in education in several different areas in Alabama. And for the past few years he has been the Talladega City Council President Pro-tem. Grissett is known to be a great leader and a man of outstanding character and faith.
